TOKYO: YESTERDAY AND TODAY (MAY 2023)

Arrival in Tokyo. Meeting with a Japanese driver at the airport. Group transfer to the hotel by minibus. Check-in after 16:00 (earlier check-in on request and at an additional cost).

For an additional fee excursion "Evening Tokyo" by public transport 17:00-21:00. Overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast in the hotel. At 09:00 meeting with a Russian-speaking guide in the hotel lobby. Tour of Tokyo yesterday and today.

*Time to issue passes for tourists from joint tours. Delivery of passports to the guide for issuing tickets and activating travel cards. Travel cards are not issued without the original passport. In the absence of a passport, an additional payment for an extract on another day will be required.

Photo stop: the historical building of the Tokyo station and the Nijubashi bridge - an architectural monument of the Meiji era near the park of the imperial palace.

Then we will move on to the Edo period - the historical district of Asakusa. Visit the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo - Senso-ji.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Walking around the Asakusa area after lunch. Here you can buy traditional souvenirs and Japanese delicacies on the Nakamise-dori shopping street, and within walking distance on the river bank is Sumida Park, one of the favorite places for the townspeople to walk. Participation in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony - the master of the ceremony conducts a demonstrative preparation of tea, then the guests are given the opportunity to try to make real matcha tea by themselves. Boarding the boat from the pier at Asakusa, moving to the modern shopping and entertainment district of Odaiba, located on an artificial island in Tokyo Bay. Walk around Odaiba, photo stop at the Statue of Liberty and the 18-meter gundam robot.

08:30 meeting with the guide. Transfer to the Fuji-Kawaguchiko area. Visiting the festival of blooming phlox, known in Japan as Shiba-zakura (sakura field). A whole lake of various shades of pink is wonderfully complemented by a view of the majestic Fuji.

Lunch, local cuisine.

On the scenic lakeside, visit the folk village of Iyashi no Sato. Wooden houses covered with thatched roofs are a real open-air historical museum. In each house they will tell about the traditional folk crafts and crafts of Japan. For an additional fee, under the guidance of a master, you can make a postcard from Japanese paper with your own hands, assemble a composition of fragrant herbs, try on an elegant silk kimono, even take a walk in it and take a picture against the backdrop of Mount Fuji, which offers a magnificent view from here.

~17:30 After the tour, the guide will escort you to the high-speed Shinkansen train from Mishima Station. Self transfer to Osaka Station without a guide. Self-transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
