London South Bank University – education in London

London South Bank University - one of the oldest educational institutions in the UK. It was founded in 1892 as the Polytechnic Institute. By the number of students and the level of salary of graduates occupies a leading position in the UK. At the moment, the university has 18,000 students. All the programs offered by the university have a practical focus - each department is associated with a specific industry, which allows students to take internships there and realize their knowledge in practice.

The university is located on the south bank of the River Thames (hence the name), from where you can take the subway to Waterloo Station and the London Bridge.

In 2016, the Times Higher Education Awards (the publication that ranks the world's universities) was awarded the prestigious title of “Entrepreneurial University of the Year” to the university. The Teaching Excellence Framework (the state assessment of the quality of education in the UK) awarded the university “Silver” for the quality of education. This suggests that university education is at a high level.

Training programs are accredited according to the real needs of the industry. In particular, a number of university courses have been accredited by the Association of Accountants (ACCA), the Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
