Kyrgyzstan in 5 days with Ysyk-Kol Lake

Arrive at Manas International Airport in Bishkek early in the morning. Meet with driver and transfer to Bishkek. Early check in to hotel.
AM: Sightseeing tour of Bishkek main highlights.
PM: Half-day excursion to Ala-Archa National Park for short and easy walking tour.
Evening free time.

Meet in Bishkek in the morning. Transfer to Cholpon-Ata, main city on the northern coast of Ysyk-Kol Lake- a drainless lake in northeastern Kyrgyzstan. Situated in the northern Tien Shan “Celestial Mountains”, it is one of the largest high-mountain lakes in the world and is famous for its magnificent scenery and unique scientific interest. 

On the way, stop at Burana Tower for excursion (UNESCO heritage site) - one of the few historical buildings in Kyrgyzstan and a remnant of an old Silk Road town. Sightseeing in the city (open-air Museum of Petroglyphs, Ruh-Ordo ethno-cultural center). Hotel check-in upon arrival in Cholpon-Ata town. Free time at the hotel located on the lakeshore.

After breakfast at hotel transfer to Karakol town. Take a short rest in swimming pool (hot springs) at Ak Bermet resort or as option one hour boat cruise on the lake (optional for extra charge; weather dependant). Afternoon sightseeing tour of Karakol town’s main highlights - old wooden Russian Church (built without nails), Dungan Mosque (Dungan’s are ethnic minority of Muslim Chinese, moved from the West of China) and Kupecheskiy Proezd street that resembles 19th century old Russian village. Further, visit one-village-one-product at a  local shop for handmade souvenirs made by local women.

After breakfast transfer departure to Bishkek via northern shore. Leave Karakol and go to Jeti-Oguz Gorge. It is a lush valley with some striking red sandstone rock formations, including the “Seven Bulls” from which the valley takes its name. Lunch at the yurt camp on the way, and then continue back to Bishkek.
Before evening arrive to Bishkek and check in at hotel in Bishkek.
